Euston Musicality and Improv Course
With Alistair Ho and Christine Penman
Come join Ali and Christine at Swing Patrol Euston for a 3 week course all about the MUSIC.
Our wonderful dance wouldn’t exist without the music and over 3 weeks, we will cover everything from music history, to different styles and important influences. You will learn how to listen to the music and how it is structured, listen for cool breaks, learn to give yourself room to improvise and have fun with your dancing. Most importantly, we will cover how different music makes YOU feel and how it effects how YOU move and encourage YOU to bring your own personality into your dancing!
This course is aimed at Level 2 and above. Ideally you have been attending classes for a while and have experience social dancing. You will need to be comfortable with 6 beat lindy, 8 beat lindy, side by side Charleston and swingouts.
Pre-book in advance only (class cards can’t be used). If you’re doing other classes on the same night, those classses will be half-price.
