Thomas Murray
Thomas Murray (Tom) is our Irish connection and has been an amazing addition to the Swing Patrol London teaching team. His relaxed and warm personality mean that any of his classes oooze with fun, charm and that mighty fine Irish accent. Tom performed front and centre at the Performance Party Swing Pit in 2009 but his origins are from Galway as follows:
"Having never done any dancing before I started swing after my brother and me accidently ended up at the swing night in Galway at a bar called Cuba. Was amazed by the people dancing and thought that they were just having so fun that I'd like to give it a go. Found out that it was Paul Neary ( a former Swing Patrol guy) who ran Galway swing and found out where classes were held. So in a way I guess you could say that I started from a sort of extension of Swing Patrol in Ireland. I surprised myself in the first class and found that I wasn't too bad at swing and was hooked from then on going up to 6 times a week at one stage. After about 6 months of swing I decided to branch out a little and started Jazz and was taking classes right up until when I moved to London. I enjoy blues, balboa but my number one love for now is Lindy Hop."
You will find Tom teaching with Nicola at Fulham every week but he also will be doing a variety of fill ins at other venue
