Tanya Stephan

Tanya is one of our vivacious and loveable teachers oozing with charm and fun. Tanya teaches at Old Street Monday nights, Clapham Common Tuesday nights and Greenwich on Wednesday nights.

She started swing dancing in 2005 and has been addicted since, now much like many of her students. In 2007 she joined the fun loving Brat Pack developmental performance troupe and moved onto performing with Harlem Shout in 2008. In these troupes, Tanya performed for many corporate events and shows in Melbourne, Australia including the Buddy Holly Tribute and in front of hundreds at the Melbourne Moomba festival.

In 2009 she moved to London and has continued with her passion of swing. As well as teaching, she still loves the performance arena and has entertained crowds at events such as the half marathon in Hyde Park and celebrity charity events. In December 2009, she also competed and took home 2^nd place in London’s Swing for the Crown event. So far, 2010 has seen her win 1st place in Scotland for 'Solo Charleston', 'Jack'n'Jill' & 'Open Lindy' as part of the Scotland Swing Storm. She loves the buzz of the stage and can't wait to get out there more as the year continues.

Tanya is always on the social dance floor and teaches in a warm and relaxed way where most of her students are laughing as they learn.
