15th March, 2010.

Hey everyone,

It is so amazing to see the growth of swing dancing in a global sense. I was fortunate enough to teach and work with dancers from Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Durham this weekend and they are as passionate and crazy as we all are in London. We must have 30+ countries repesented at people who have now registered at the London Swing Festival so don't miss out. It's an amazing weekend where you get to learn off the very best and dance with dancers from literally eveywhere! Enjoy your learning this week and see you back in London before kick off at Old Street.

Scottie :)

This week we continued to grow with yet more enthusiastic people in the beginners' class!  All of whom did exceedingly well with a mixture of 6-count moves and some more new charleston.  The intermediates learned
some nice Texas Tommys and how to transition between different rhythms - good job everyone!

This week we will be back with more new Charleston for the beginners' class.  As always, no experience is assumed or required, nor is a partner - just turn up and dance!

Looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday at 7!

11. Legends of the week
The Scotland Scottish Swing Championships were all about our Tanya on the weekend who pulled off a remarkable clean sweep winning all three events that she entered. Solo charleston, the Jack & Jill and the Open Lindy Hop event. Ben Cook also featured placing second in the Solo Charleston and wining the Open Lindy Hop with Tanya and picking up third in the Jack & Jill. A big congratulations to our two London stars!

Our other legends are: Chloe, Charlotte and Garov who did three classes in a row last Wednesday. Hard core!
