Fulham classes open Tuesday week ( not this week as per some earlier advertising) and our Old Street beginners start learning eight beat tonight. Come for a random dance with us at Brick Lane this Wednesday.. but be warned.. it's an outdoor dance! :0 )

Dancing in Angel Last Sunday - THANK YOU from Ben & Janet!

Last Sunday, we spent the morning giving small piles of flyers to many shops along Upper Street about the upcoming classes in Angel. Only a couple of stores said no, and we met a lot of friendly, encouraging local traders that seemed just as interested as we hope their customers are!

From noon we parked ourselves outside Angel tube station with a big pile of flyers and some swinging tunes and danced in the street (even just to keep warm!). There was lindy lop, Charleston and balboa, routines to Happy Feet, Zip Gun Bop and Shorty George were busted out, and even our very own Angel Speed Shim Sham!

We would just like to say a HUGE thank you to Tanya, Ash, Simone, Sibhe, Barry and Julian for coming to help us hand out flyers and dance. We managed to get rid of all our flyers and had a constant stream of people stopping, smiling, taking photos, and just enjoying the day. Highlights included a group of 'Swing Kids' dancing alongside us, and a gentleman telling Ash: "Thank you for making London a happy place!". Ditto that folks, cheers!

-Ben & Janet

10. Quote of the week
