Ben & Tanya PROFILE

Ben Cook

Ben began to swing in 2006 and after just one lesson was hooked, making sure he never missed a class for a good 6 months! Realising that "It Don't Mean a Thing If It 'Aint Got That Swing", and regularly seen out at least 4 times per week, Ben quickly learned to love what keeps bringing him back: the great people (who have now become great friends), the social dancing, and the swingin' beats of the big band era.

Trying to get as involved in this new world as he could, Ben has been involved with performing for several years. Whether alongside fellow troupe members in Brat Pack and Harlem Shout, or with Tanya for London audiences, performing remains one of Ben's swing passions. He has also competed in several competitions, enjoying the nerves and pure rush of competition!

Tanya Stephan

Tanya is one of our vivacious and loveable teachers oozing with charm and fun. Tanya teaches at Old Street Monday nights, Clapham Common Tuesday nights and Greenwich on Wednesday nights.

Tanya loves her dancing and enjoys every aspect from Blues, Balboa, solo jazz and of course Lindy Hop.

A florist by trade, Tanya is always on the social dance floor and teaches in a warm and relaxed way where most of her students are laughing as they learn.

Super fun, super talented, super teacher.
