Hi Team Clapham!

We're so excited to have so many new students not only in our beginner class but taking part in our intermediate course. We're glad to have such a great venue with air-conditioning in this heat so we can still enjoy the dance. Don't forget that our beginner class starts from scratch each week so if you have anyone you want to bring, do so.

** BREAKING NEWS! **
We have a performance ball coming up in October! Some of you are already aware of what our performance balls are like but for those who are new to the swing world, this is a chance to show off your moves! Beginning in the next few weeks, we'll be teaching routines to both levels 1 and 2 which you will be able to display at the ball. It's great fun learning, and even better performing. If performing is not your thing, that's cool! You don't HAVE to perform but you're still welcome to learn the routine. These routines will be choreographed by US for you guys and last years were a complete hit so we're looking forward to doing it all again. Again, if you have friends who want to take part in this, start bringing them to class now so they don't miss out.

Check out the last routines!!

Level 2 Routine from 2009:

=========================

Level 1 – 7pm – Beginners
1930’s Charleston from scratch! It’s fun fun fun, and we’ll have everyone doing some cool spins this week. Bring a friend or three, as we take you through this great vintage dance.

Level 2 – 8:15pm – Intermediates
We will be running week 2 of our intermediate course and this week is an awesome concept... leading and following that doesn’t use hands! Hips, arms, legs, we’re getting creative! It’s going to involve lots of laughs and will open your eyes to all the possibilities!

See you Tuesday!
